Warehouse Lead
Location: McWilliams - Burke
Description:
Warehouse Lead — McWilliams Heating, Cooling & Plumbing | Burke, TX Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | Full-Time | Non-Exempt
We’re looking for someone who actually wants to work.
Not someone who wants to clock in and coast. We want someone who shows up on time, takes pride in a clean, organized warehouse, and stays on the move all day. Every install and service call at McWilliams starts on your shelves. If the parts aren’t pulled, the trucks don’t roll. If you see what needs doing and just do it, this job is yours to own.
While other shops slow down for the season, we’re not. We’re growing, and we need a dependable lead to keep the warehouse moving with us.
What You’ll Own
- Morning launch: Work with dispatch to prioritize and stage the day’s jobs, so techs roll out ready instead of waiting
- Parts and orders: Order parts, track them in ServiceTitan, and keep dispatch and customers updated on ETAs
- Customer service: Be the friendly, responsive point of contact for techs, office staff, vendors, and customers picking up or asking about parts
- Receiving: Check shipments against packing slips and POs, and catch damage before it reaches a job
- Inventory control: Run cycle counts and year-end inventory, reconcile gaps, and keep every bin labeled and every shelf in order
- A clean warehouse: Keep the shop clean, organized, and walkable every day, because a clean warehouse is a safe and fast warehouse
- Equipment tracking: Check equipment in and out and keep accurate records of what’s on the shelf and what’s on a truck
- Warranty and credits: Track warranty returns and follow up with vendors until credits land
- Fleet care: Inspect trucks, log fuel and mileage, schedule maintenance, and keep idle vehicles clean
- Deliveries: Run parts and warranty items to satellite locations
- Safety: Open, close, and secure the warehouse, and follow and enforce PPE, lifting, hazard-reporting, and OSHA standards
Requirements:
What You Bring
- A real work ethic: punctual, dependable, and ready to go at 7:00 AM every day
- Experience with warehouse inventory and parts (required); HVAC or plumbing parts experience is a big plus, but a solid understanding of how a warehouse runs is what matters most
- Organized and detail-driven, with high standards for warehouse cleanliness
- Customer-service mindset: friendly, clear, and responsive with techs, staff, and customers
- Basic computer skills; you don’t need to be an expert. ServiceTitan experience earns serious bonus points
- Forklift certification preferred; if you know how to operate a forklift, we’ll get you certified after hire
- Comfortable in a true warehouse environment: hot, cold, noisy, and always on the go, with safety top of mind
- Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, and regularly lift and move equipment up to 50+ lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; occasional local travel to satellite locations
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Why McWilliams
- Set schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM -- Home for dinner every night, with no weekends
- Stability: Year-round work with a company that’s growing, not cutting
- Ownership: A lead role where you run the warehouse and build the system your way
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and paid holidays
If you’re ready to work hard and be the reason the whole operation runs smooth, apply today.
